Wang Ruiqi on writing music for F1

An associate professor teaching composition at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music, Wang Ruiqi initiated and curated a contemporary music concert staged on the F1 race track in Shanghai during the Grand Prix on March 21, 2025.

She explains why it’s important to write for F1, and how she comes up with ideas to make contemporary music more accessible.
